Atom Reps Take Lead in Series
The Atom Reps took a 2 - 1 series lead on Friday night with a 2 - 1 win over the Kingsville Kings.
The huge crowd of hometown fans were treated to a very exciting game of hockey. The action was fast-paced and was back and forth. Both teams had several scoring chances, however, the game remained scoreless until Bryce Fletcher slid one over the line early in the second period. Josh Gottfried picked-up an assist on the goal. The Kings fought back hard and tied the game with just under two minutes left in the second. The game could have gone either way in the third, but with 4:22 left in the game, Bailey Matheson finished-off a nice passing play from Carter Collinson and Lane Buchanan. Kingsville pulled the goalie late in the game but they could not penetrate the Listowel defense. Game four should be another great game and takes place in Listowel on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
