Things are Roll'in!
Submitted By David Lewis on Thursday, October 30, 2008
With three more games wrapped up, the Bantam AE's are looking strong! This week, the Cycs saw another battle with the Kincardine Kinucks, which resulted in a 3-3 tie, a close win against Saugeen Shores (3-1), and a well earned victory over Howick (4-1). The table has been set for future bouts!

On Sunday, October 26th, the Bantam AE Cyclones faced off against Kincardine. Listowel controlled much of the play and maintained a lead throughout most of the game. Goals were scored by Tyson Duck (1st Period), Michael Hogwood (2nd Period) and Jackson Cox (3rd Period), while Robbie Couto, Jacob Askin, Cory Wilson and Daniel Hunter all gained assists. In the third period, the Cycs were up by a score of 3-1, but with less than two and a half minutes left in the game, Kincardine managed to squeak a few goals in, tying the game. The final score was three to three. In the end, a valuable lesson was learned by the team, which will not be forgotten!

On Tuesday, October 28th, the Bantam AE Cyclones travelled to Southampton to face off against the Saugeen Shores Storm. Justin Miller started the scoring off in the 2nd period with a power play goal, which was assisted by Cory Wilson and Jacob Askin. Midway through the 2nd period, Saugeen tied the game up (1-1). Near the end of the 2nd frame, Tyson Duck scored goal number two for Listowel (2-1). The Cycs hit the ice hard for the final period, which saw Michael Hogwood scoring within eight seconds of the puck being dropped. The team finished the game on strong note!

On Wednesday, October 29th, the Bantam AE Cyclones were back in Listowel to host the Howick Hornets. It was a great game. Listowel played as a team through three periods of action. The first period remained scoreless. Cory Wilson managed to dump in the first goal of the game, giving Listowel a 1-0 lead. The Cycs stepped up the pace for the third period scoring three more goals! Jackson Cox, assisted by Alex Balthes, scored goal number two. Kyle Sippel, assisted by Daniel Hunter, scored goal number three, and Tyson Duck, assisted by Jackson Cox and Alex Balthes, scored goal number four. The final score of the game was 4-1. A great finish to a busy week!

The Listowel Bantam AE Cyclones will be back in Listowel on November 05th, hosting the Milverton Drives.
