Bantams win 2 at Silver Stick
The Bantam Reps opened the Regional Silver Stick on Saturday with a pair of victories. Game 1 saw the Cyclones take on Walkerton. Justin Bauman opened the scoring on the first shift from Ben Verkley. Walkerton tied the game early in the second, before the Cycs struck twice to open up a 2 goal lead. Conner Dewar scored from Ben Ashworth and Bauman got his second from Zac McPhee and Luke Binning. Connor Johnson rounded out the scoring in the third period from Ashworth. Brett Fletcher picked up the victory in net.
Game 2 saw the Cycs come out firing and they scored 4 times in the first six and a half minutes. They would add two more in the second to earn a 6-0 victory. Goal scores were Verkley, Bauman, McPhee, Binning, Cory Wilson and John McKeown. Assists went to Darren Kerr (3), Bauman, Ashworth, Dewar, Binning, Verkley and Travis Bender.
Their final round robin game is on Monday at 3:30 against Tavistock.
