Juvies Sweep
With vitories on Saturday and Sunday night the Juveniles completed a sweep of Saugeen Shores and move on to the W.O.A.A. final against the winner of Walkerton and Kincardine.

Saturday night Listowel traveled to Port Elgin for game 2 of their best of 5 series leading 1 game to none.   After a decisive 6-0 victory in game 1 the coaching staff was concerned about being the players being too confident coming in to game 2.   It showed right away as Saugeen Shores controlled the early play and took a 2-0 lead after 1 period.  The players then realized that Saugeen Shores was not about to roll over and had them a win.  Ryan Sommerville finally  put Listowel on the board at the 6:33 mark of the the second period. Mat Town and Adam Hunsberger assisted.   Jonathon Hunsberger then tied the score at 2 firing home a nice feed from Devon Haid.   Captain Kyle Hollinger then put the team on his back in the third period scoring the winning goal with 6:02 remaining and then less then a  minute later socred an important insurance marker to put Listowel up 4-2.  Sommerville , Daryl Dewar, Haid and Adam Young assisted on Hollinger's goals.  Sommerville scored a empty net goal to make the final 5-2.
The series shifted back to Listowel Sunday night.  This time Listowel were prepared and knew that if not at their best Saugeen Shores was capable of beating them.  With this in mind Listowel played a good first period and even though the score board did not show it , Listowel dominated most of the period.  Town finally found the back of the net 4 mintutes into the second period  with assists going to Hollinger and Brandon Armstrong.  Hollinger put Listowel ahead by two 4 minutes later. Armrstong and Town asisssted.  Haid scored early in the third with helpers going to Sommerville and Dorian Temlin. That would be the final Listowel 3 Saugeen Shores 0.   Once again, Listowel received solid goaltending from Ben Bigham as he got his second shut out of the series.  He allowed a total of 2 goals in the 3 game series.
