Atom a/e's rebounded from a 9-2 loss on saturday to tie the Wallace sabres 1-1.

    Saturday the a/e atom squad faced the quick skating Zurich Thunder in a game that was closer then the score would indicate.  Zurich opened the scoring early in the first but Michael Uptigrove tied it a few minutes later with a backhand shot assisted by Ben Bowman.  The score remained tied for the rest of the first period thanks to some great saves by Sam Johnston.
    The second period saw Zurich pull away with 5 unanswered goals, inspite of some great chances infront of the net from Brett Macleod and Andrew Bauman, and a couple of breakaways by Austin Mcgrath.
    Zurich made it 7-1 before Uptigrove solved there stopper with another backhander from Bowman and Macleod.  The Thunder added Two more goals with there quick skating number 14 getting his t and 7th point of the night.

    Tuesday the a/e atom crew travel to Kurtzville to take on the rival Wallace sabres.  The visiting Cyclones grabbed an early lead with a goal from Lucas Jamieson, and held onto the lead for the balance of the first period. The play travel up and down the ice with equal opportunities at both ends of the ice.  
    The Sabres tied the game in the second period when,they were finally able to get something past Listowel goalie Nicholas O'grady.  the balance of the game proved to be exciting for all, as both teams tried to earn bragging rights for there first meeting of the season. However neither defense was letting the other get  much past, and the few that did were handle with confidence by both goaltenders.
