Midget AE Semi-Finals is tied at 1 game apiece.
In what was expected to be a good series did not disappoint as the series is tied 1-1 after a pair of  4-2 games this past weekend in Stirling.

Game 1 saw Stirling start with a definite territorial edge, but Cyc’s goalie Nathan Fletcher was the Cycs early hero as he turned aside several good Blue’s scoring chances. However Stirling would eventually find the twine as they scored a couple in the 2nd to take a 2-0 led. Vince McNichol would give the visiting Cycs some life late in the 2nd as he tucked home a Jackson Martin pass. The intermission seemed to rejuvenate the visitors as Martin tied the game just 48 seconds into the 3rd on a wrist shot that seemed to elude the Blues tender. McNichol’s power-play marker would put the Cycs up by 1 half way through the 3rd (Lockie, Martin drawing assists), then with the net empty Martin would seal the deal giving the Cycs the 4-2 win.

Game 2 started off equally bad in you’re a Cyclone fan as Stirling came out flying, desperately trying to tie the series. This time, despite another solid Fletcher effort, the Blues would tally 3 1st period goals. Again late in the 2nd the Cycs would tally their 1st as Martin converted a centering pass (Hollinger & Elg drew assists). Listowel would once again try to mount the 3rd period comeback but strong Stirling goaltending and a few unlucky bounces would keep the Cycs off the board until the last minute when McNichol would fine the back of the net (Daviau had the lone assists). However as was the case yesterday for the Cycs, Stirling would add the empty net securing their 4-2 victory and tying the series at a game apiece.

The series will now move back to Listowel as game 3 is Friday night @ 9:15, game 4 will be Saturday @ 2:15 and game 5 is scheduled for Sunday @ 4:00.
