Bantam Reps and Leafs Finally Notch Another Win
Much like our beloved Toronto Maple Leafs, the Bantam Rep squad has been struggling with putting a notch in the win column this season.  However, much to everyone's surprise, the Leafs totally dominated the Detroit Red Wings and the Bantam Reps dominated Mitchell, both pulling off a commanding 5 - 1 victory!

The Cycs travelled to Mitchell on Saturday night for their first season match-up against the Meteors.  The boys were given a powerful motivational speech from Coach Bender before the game and they came out firing on all cylinders from the first drop of the puck.  Tyler Hak started the scoring just two minutes into the game when he picked-up a rebound and beat the goalie (assisted by Nathan Dietz and Cody Matheson).  The Meteors answered back six minutes later, but that was all the scoring the Listowel goaltenders would allow.  The Cycs regained the lead with just under a minute left in the first.  Hakker picked-up his second of the game (assisted by Justin Miller and Cole Fletcher).  Dietz would light the lamp early in the second by capitalizing on a rebound from an out-of-position goalie (assisted by Connor Johnson and Michael McMurren).  Listowel would go up by three when Hakker finished-off his hat-trick, once again picking-up a rebound from the Meteors tender (assisted by Matheson).  Cory Wilson would score the final goal of the game with 18 seconds left on the clock in the second period, by finding the puck in the crease when the goalie thought he had it (assisted by Matheson).  In the third period, the Cyclones slackened-off their offense and did their best to protect their lead while the Meteors came out trying to close the gap.  The Cycs held them off the scoreboard though and went home enjoying their 5 - 1 victory.  The boys will be trying to carry this winning momentum with them to the Listowel arena Sunday night where they face the Saugeen Shores Storm.
