Notes
A much better game from the kids today. They did a much better job playing their positions, hustling after the puck and getting shots on net. A revamped lineup seemed to get the kids moving from the start. Milverton would score first when we failed to clear our end and a high shot found the back of our net less than two minutes in. The play would be mainly in the oppositions end and finally with 10 seconds left, Nich would find the back of the net on a rebound off of Bo`s shot. The second would be scoreless as the Milverton goalie turned away all of our chances. Again we controlled the majority of the play. Early in the third, Sam would cash in on a shot from the high slot that would find it`s way through the goalies legs (Bo assisted). With two minutes left Nich would clear our zone and Sam would chase down the Milverton defender, steal the puck and deke the goalie to bury his second of the game (Bo got his third assist of the game on this one as well) After the kids play in the last few games, this one was a welcome sight for the coaching staff (and I am sure for the parents as well). The defense played a strong game as well and limited the chances that Milverton had. Final shots were 21-7 for us. A couple more practices this week before next weekends games against some strong opponents.
