Schedule & Results, Novice Rep, U9, 2010-2011 (Listowel Minor Hockey Association)

Another game without Seth in net or Cullen on defense.  This time Josh Jacklin stepped up to try to fill the void.  The play would be fairly even throughout the entire game. Drayton would go up by two after one period of play and would score early in the second to make the score 3-0.  With under a minute left in the period Brett would take an excellent shot that would go off of Keegan and into the Drayton goal to make the score 3-1 after 2 periods.  Off the opening face off of the third Drayton would restore their 3 goal lead.  Our players would pick up the forecheck and be rewarded with two quick goals as Carter would convert a great pass from Keegan and Dustin would bury one assisted by Tayttum.  Josh would turn away everything else Drayton threw at him and we would continue to pressure but could not get the equalizer.   With Josh on the bench, Drayton would score an empty net goal to complete the scoring at 5-3.  It was another improved team effort offensively and defensively.   Final shots on goal were 18-17 for Drayton.  Considering we have been held to under 10 shots in many of our games recently, this was a vast improvement.
