Notes
First playoff game in Wingham today without Sam who was away on a holiday. Another slow start to this game as not much jump off the start. Wingham would score a powerplay goal mid-way through the first and that is the way the period would end. Shots in the first were 10-1 for Wingham. The kids started to play better in the second and started to generate some shots and scoring opportunities. Wingham would up there lead to 2-0 on a defensive breakdown that left a player wide open in front of our net and he would make no mistake putting it by Seth. Shots after 2 were 17-5 for Wingham. The kids did not give up and continued to pick up there play and generate more opportunities. With 9 minutes left Bo would cut the lead to 1 on a shot just inside the post (assists to Dustin and Brett). The kids kept pressing and with the net empty got a few nice shots off but Wingham would clear the puck and would score in the empty net to complete the scoring. Final shots were 21-11 for Wingham, with both goalies making many great saves throughtout the game. Hopefully the kids can play the first period the way they played the third period in this game. This should be a good series with these two evenly matched teams.
