This Saturday morning marks the first Power Skating session for....
..the Mites. The power skating is from 9:10 to 9:50am and is for the Mite Red team. The Mite White team will practice from 10:00 to 10:50.
The focus of the power skating sessions will be on helping your child to improve on their skating stride. The Power skating is geared towards the more advanced skills but any players from the White group that would like to try it are welcome.
Adam Boshart of Pinacle Health and Fitness has committed to teach Power Skating to our players from 9:10 am to 9:50am, Saturday, Jan 29, Saturday, Feb 5 and Saturday, Feb 12. The cost is free with Listowel Minor Hockey subsidizing the program 100% through Sponsorship funding.
In exchange for this “free” Clinic, the Grass Roots program requests a solid attendance from us and a commitment to respect the Instructor by listening and performing the drills as instructed.
These dates are to be treated as practices, so please contact one of your coaches if you cannot make it.
On another note… we hope that everyone had a fun filled experience this past week with the Wallace Fun Days tournament in Kurtzville. All the Mite Coaches are very proud of how well all our players played and conducted themselves on and off the ice during the tournament. A job well done to all!
