Great Effort
Nathan, Alex and John did a great job of creating a game plan and the kids did a formidable job of executing.
Each line backchecked, played strong on the puck and maximized the little bit of open ice they were afforded. The final score does not reflect how hard we made Mt Forest work for their win and how well our Goaltender played for the entire game.
Leading 1-0 after the first and being tied 1-1 with about 7 min left to play were a testamant to how the Defence group was able to clear the puck away from the front of our net and clear it from our zone.
Our Forwards played a strong 2 way game coming deep into our own zone to help the defence and continously battle Mt Forest for every square foot of ice.
Nothing was easy for either team and this team proved they can skate and work with the best the league has to offer.
Trevor would've been, and will be, proud of the effort each of you put out there tonight. You left it all on the ice and it showed. Well done!!!
