Cyclones Split This Week
The Midget Reps split this week's games, with a 2-1 win over Minto and a 3-1 loss to the Saugeen Shores Storm.

Wednesday's trip to Harriston included only 11 skaters, with injuries keeping Cody Matheson and Matt McCracken out of the line up.  The Cycs played as discipline game as possible, with both teams spending a fair amount of time in the penalty box.  Kyle Sippel (assisted by Cory Wilson & Zack MacPhee) and Luke Binning (assisted by Jacob Askins & Conner Johnson & Andrew Gooding) scored the goals.  Mitchell Smith played a great game in the net, with Mike McMurran, Justin Miller, Clark Askins & Alex Balthes all providing steady defence in support of the victory.

Saturday's game in Port Elgin was again with a short bench of 11 skaters, this time including a couple of Bantam AP's. This time the long drive and big ice surface did not play in Listowel's favour, suffering the 3-1 loss.
The Cycs had opportunities on various power plays, but could not solve Saugeen's penalty killing strategy which prevented Listowel from getting anything clear in the slot. Pucks that did get to net rang off posts (approx 4 times). Jesse Nethercott provided excellent goal tending for the Cyc's.  Kyle Sippel scored Listowel's lone goal, on a penalty shot with 22 seconds to play in the game, making it 2-1.  However, Saugeen gained control off the next face-off, and was able to slip in an empty netter.
The Midgets are at home next Saturday, Dec-17th (7:00 vs BCH) and Sunday, Dec-18th (8:30 vs Goderich).
