4 Point Weekend
A four point weekend has brought the Midget Rep up to 500, in league play. Strong efforts on both Saturday & Sunday night earned the team a 6-3 victory over BHC and a 5-1 victory over Goderich.

The Cyclones jumped out to a 1-0 lead five minutes into the first period, on a goal from a well positioned Zac MacPhee. Assist went out to Cory Wilson and Mike McMurran. After some confusion on BCH's part, resulting in a couple missed scoring oportunities, the Cyclones notched another before the end of the period. Wilson potted a round off a Caleb Warren opportunity, with McKee picking up the back end assist again.
Kyle Sippel made it 3-0 with a nice shot, assisted by Wilson and MacPhee. BCH team got on the scoreboard in the second, but the Reps continued to pressure and got another before the end of the frame. Conner Johnston tallied, taking the puck end to end from a face-off, finishing with a great deke on the defence and then the goalie, Warren receiving the assist.
The Cyclone came out firing in the third, scoring a couple, to make it a 6-1 lead. Andrew Gooding netting the first, assisted by Johnston and Luke Binning. MacPhee got his second of the night, assisted by Sippel and Justin Miller.  BHC added a couple late goals to make the final score 6-3. Jesse Nethercott posted the win in net.

Sunday's game was grid locked a zero, until Goderich open the scoring five minutes into the second period. However, Binning responded a minute later to even the score.  Assists went out to Jacob Askin and Nic Matheson. Wilson scored a few minutes later to give the Cycs a 2-1 lead, with assists going out to Sippel and MacPhee.
Once again, the team answered the third period call, netting 3 goals while providing steady defensive play, to secure the 5-1 victory. Binning tallied from Sippel and Askin, Wilson potted from Alex Balthes and Travis Matheson, and Johnson rounded out the scoring with assists going to Joel Hartung and Clark Askin.
Mitchell Smith played a solid game in net for the win.
