Cyclones Hungry to Take Series Lead
So far this season the two games between the Mitchell Meteors and Atom AE's sees us tied at  game a piece.

Both games were low scoring and could have easily gone either way.  with Listowel handing Mitchell its first loss that began their 5 game losing streak, the Meteors had one thing in mind; revenge.
Before the game, the air in the warm room was filled with blue smoke from the heated discussion between the opposing parents.  No, wait; it was just from the deep-fried mozza sticks Dragan ordered from the food booth.

Listowel's net minder Lucas had to miss this pivotal game, so in his place stood the confident Myles.  Never to back down from a challenge, Myles lead his local league team to a 2-1 victory over Minto and then rose to the curtain call for the AE's immediately following.  Something you would never see a goalie in the NHL try to attempt.
By the end of the first period, Mitchell had taken an early 1-0 lead.  Mika, Kristopher and Seth stopped at nothing, trying to break Listowel's scoring slump.  Brayden and John tried several times to help in the offensive push, and never let Myles down by back checking whenever necessary.
Even after Mitchell once again found the back of Listowel's net, watching Bret, Nikolas and Connor continue to pursue the puck reminded you of a team of squirrels frantically searching for nuts, and never giving up.  With shot after shot in the Mitchell end, the Listowel fans could feel the momentum of the game swing, and then before you could say Emma, our own little Hayley Wickenheiser raised her arms in celebration and cut the scoring deficit in half.

With renewed confidence Owen, Colin and Maddox kept the pressure on and won many puck battles on and off the boards.  Cole and Jordan were instrumental in creating many scoring chances and didn't let the fans down by showing tireless effort at both ends of the ice.  Much of the third period showed these teams are very evenly matched, but late in the period, Mitchell scored an insurance goal to give them a 3-1 victory.

Coach Josh and his entourage continue to tweak the lines in search for th eperfect chemistry.  However he has put the ring sizing on hold for now, but promises us there will be many exciting games to follow for this young and energetic team.
