Hak & Balthes Lead Reps Past Blyth-Brussels
Tyler Hak and Alex Balthes made the best of their extra hour of sleep Saturday night, pacing the Reps with 4 points each, on Sunday against the Blyth-Brussels Bulldogs.
Combined with solid efforts from the rest of the team, the Cyclones skated away with a 6-3 victory.

The Bulldogs came out of the gate with some strong forechecking and hard hitting, getting on the score board three minutes into the game.
The Reps settled in after the goal, and started to play a more aggressive game, which resulted in the Bulldogs taking a number of undisciplined penalties.
These penalties proved costly, as the Cyclones capitalized with four powerplay goals.
The Reps also ran into penalty troubles throughout the game, resulting in two powerplay goals for Blyth-Brussels.

The turning point of the game came half-way thru the second period, when Cory Wilson blocked a shot off his foot. Wislon managed to stay in the play and clear the puck from the zone, before heading to the bench. He was then placed on the DL for the remainder of the game, with hope the injury will not keep him out of the line next week.

Connor Johnson and Joel Hartung rounded out the scoring for the Reps, with assists going to Andrew Gooding, Wilson, Jacob Askin and Blake Buchanan.
Drew Anger turned in a solid effort in the Cyclone net.
As well, the defensive pairings of Drew McKee & Brendan Hall and Kyle Sippel & Justin Miller helped the team with strong play in their end, and good puck clearing/movement.

The team looks forward to Mike McMurran returning from vacation, and Riley Conners from injury.

Next action for the Midget Reps is:

Sat, Nov-10th in Clinton @ 7:00pm
Sun, Nov-11th vs Saugeen @ 8:15pm in Listowel
