2nd Place for PeeWees at Schomberg Tournament
After Back to Back wins (6-4 and 5-0) against Saugeen Shores the boys headed to Schomberg for a weekend tournament. Friday saw them face off against the Ilderton Jets and after playing 30 mins came out with a 2-2 tie

Saturday afternoon they met up with some back home boys, the Blyth-Brussels BullDogs(we have yet to meet up in regular season).
The first period was action packed with 2 penalties assessed to each team but no scoring. 77 seconds into the 2nd period Sage let a shot go from the blue-line to start off a round of scoring for the Cyclones. Passing the puck allowed Jordy to feed a nice shot to Riley and then Jake fed Blair for 2 quick goals within 29 seconds of each other. To end the period Riley would score again and Sam would slide in with one too. The BullDogs came out stronger in the third period to hold the Cyclones off from scoring but scored three of their own. Cody did a great job between the pipes. (5-3 win)
Sunday brought a noon match-up with great rivals the Twin Centre Stars. The Stars started off the scoring  but Keegan and Riley battled in front to score a marker and with 4.2 seconds left Keegan scored on a rebound off the Stars goalie. The second periods only marker came from Blair and the remainder of the game the boys with Travis's help kept the Stars scoreless.(3-1 win)
As a result, we ended up first place in our division and we would then take on the hometown Schomberg Red Wings for the championship.
The RedWings were no doubt wanting their hometown fans to see them win and the Cyclones would be defeated 4-1 with the only marker being awarded to Nich with a nice shot from the blue line. Maybe we should have sent the boys with Coach"Pudge" to see Max & Ruby instead.

The boys thankful to be back home after a busy weekend away had little time to rest as they travelled to Kincardine Tuesday for a rematch with the Kinucks. The first and second period held both teams scoreless with plenty of action in each end. Travis and the Kinuck goalie kept their respective teams in the game. A lot of passing and moving the puck allowed for some excitement in the third period. With one of ours in the box Isaiah fed a pass to Riley for a shorthanded goal. Jake had a goal called back, which left the fans on edge as they believed the last minute would be a nail biter. The Kinucks pulled their goalie and were unfortunate to lose the puck and allow Riley(56.5) to shoot into the empty net. 12 second later after the face-off the Kinucks scored. Fans were defintely given their monies worth watching the game from the stands or at ice level.

Next match up is Saturday in Hensall against BCH.
