Red Holds Off Howick For Second Time
Listowel Novice LL Red blanked the Howick Hornets for the second time of the year, taking Monday’s contest by a score of 6-0.

Red took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission thanks to a Spencer Henhoeffer tally.  The visiting squad then added a pair in the following frame with markers from Nehemiah Dyck and Finn Molenhuis who were helped by the puck pursuit from winger Noah Hiemstra.

Henhoeffer added another in the third as his linemates, Ruby Hillier and Kole Schiestel, both chipped in with helpers.  The scoring was then capped by a pair of Molenhuis goals as he completed the hat-trick.

Noah Szasz kept the donut in tact for the second time in as many games, giving him six shutouts for the season.

The Listowel goaltender didn’t sweat much though as his defensive unit was at its best.  The puck control of Grayson Matheson and Brynn Berfelz was matched by the cohesive containment presented by the “Bash Brothers” tandem of Oliver Hershey and Warner Hurst.

Red will now look for some revenge in their final regulation match of the season as they waltz into Wallace for a Thursday evening tango at 7pm.
