Black Dominant In Drayton
Listowel Novice LL Black earned their third straight win with a 7-0 shutout in Drayton on Saturday.

It took Black more than a period to finally shake off their Saturday-morning sleepiness, but they finally got on the board with in the second with a Cole Parsons goal, his first of two on the afternoon.

The tally was set up by both of his linemates, Kenton Heathers and Zack Brooks.  The smooth passing seemed to register with the rest of the team as they then moved the puck very well for the next period and a half to take over the game.

In the span of two minutes, Brooks netted a pair of his own en route to an eventual hat trick.  Wing partners, Fiona Johnson and Lucas Kuefper aided the first goal as the strong teamwork continued.

The defensive pairs of Brynn Berfelz, Blake McTavish, Oliver Hershey and Warner Hurst aided the attack as they held the offensive line as well as they have done all season, with No. 5 grabbing an assist on the third goal of the day.

Listowel then capped the scoring as Rory Magee potted a pair in the final frame, with a tidy helper going to his wing partner, Linc Lannin, on the seventh goal.

Goaltender Koen Martin made the saves when he needed to as he put up another donut.  Center Noah Hiemstra did well to control play in both ends of the rink but couldn't get a puck past the Drayton goalie.

Black will look to continue their winning ways with a 12:45 pm match against the Central Perth Predators next Saturday in Listowel.
