Listowel Novice LL Black picked up another win with a 2-0 victory against the Central Perth Predators on Saturday.
Black got on the board early in both the first period and the second, via tallies from Zack Brooks and Cole Parsons.
The duo may have been the only ones to dent the twine but Listowel’s entire forward unit pinned the Predators deep for most of the contest. Rory Magee, Linc Lannin, Lucas Kuepfer, Fiona Johnson, Noah Hiemstra and Kenton Heathers were dominant down low and peppered the opposing goalie with a plethora of shots, but he turned them away again and again as he stole the show on Saturday.
Koen Martin wasn’t tested often but made the saves he needed to in order to pick up his second straight shutout.
His workload was made easy as defenders Warner Hurst, Oliver Hershey, Brynn Berfelz and Blake McTavish did well to clear pucks in their own end and transition the game the other way with some sleek passing.
Listowel will look to make it five in a row next week Saturday at 4:45 pm in Mitchell.
