Black Earns Split In Kincardine
Listowel Novice LL Black played to a 4-4 tie against the Kincardine Kinucks on Saturday.

Black opened the scoring with a Black McTavish marker in the middle of the first period, then doubled the lead on a Rory Magee tally in the middle frame.

However, before the second period was out, Kincardine netted a pair of goals to tie the contest and then grabbed the lead early in the third.

Listowel roared back to tie the game on a Zack Brooks blast a minute later.  The visiting squad then re-took a one-goal advantage when Noah Hiemstra buried the biscuit with eight minutes to go in regulation.

Kincardine managed to sneak in a goal with five minutes left, sending the game to overtime.

Koen Martin stood tall in the extra frame, making the much-needed saves to pull out the playoff point.

The defensive corp of Oliver Hershey, Brynn Berfelz and Warner Hurst had plenty of ice to cover and kept the Kinucks at bay for many long stretches. Meanwhile, the up-front gang of Kenten Heathers, Linc Lannin, Fiona Johnson, Lucas Kuepfer and Cole Parsons brought their energy at both ends, leading to many chances for the winning tally.

Listowel can't rest yet though, as they're scheduled for their third game in as many days, taking on Zurich in Wallace at 3:00 pm on Sunday.
