Black Zones In On Zurich
Listowel Novice LL Black took the loss on Sunday, but showed plenty of improvement in their rematch vs. Zurich.

In their first home playoff contest, Listowel fell behind early but managed to scamper back into the game in the second period, thanks to goals from Zack Brooks and Cole Parsons' first of two on the afternoon.

Both contests were set up by assists from Kenten Heathers and Noah Hiemstra, along with some hard work from fellow forwards Linc Lannin, Rory Magee, Fiona Johnson and Lucas Kuepfer.

Parsons added another in the third but it was the visiting side that came away with the 5-3 win.

Koen Martin was pressed hard by two of Zurich's main stars but came up with a bunch of timely saves.

Helping keep the goal crease clear were the defensive pairings of Brynn Berfelz, Blake McTavish, Warner Hurst and Oliver Hershey, who also played a solid transition game by getting the puck off the boards and out through the neutral zone.

After three games in three days, Black will now get a touch of rest, returning to practice on Thursday and Friday before heading to Norwood for a tournament on the weekend.
