Black Back In Form vs. BCH
Listowel Novice LL Black returned to playoff action with a win against BCH in Clinton on Saturday.
Black jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and answered a BCH tally with two more later in the first period to take a 4-1 advantage into the intermission.
Cole Parsons, Zack Brooks and Rory Magee provided the ammo as Lucas Kuepfer and Noah Hiemstra picked up assists.
Listowel continued to apply pressure in the middle frame, spreading three goals around one from the Ice Dogs.
They then capped the the scoring in the third, adding an 8th marker for the 8-3 victory.
The defensive tandems of Blake McTavish, Brynn Berfelz (who picked up an assist), Warner Hurst and Oliver Hershey played some great up-tempo hockey, which led to many offensive chances for forwards Kenton Heathers, Fiona Johnson, and Linc Lannin, who added an apple as well.
As always, Koen Martin was tough when tested and picked up another solid W.
Listowel won't have much time to dwell on its success though, as the club will complete the home-and-home series Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm in Wallace.
