Red Steals Win From Blades
Listowel Atom Red came back for a dramatic 4-3 win over the South Bruce Blades on Saturday.

Red got on the offense in the early going with a goal from Kingston Powell, set up by center Owen Alexander after winger Linc Lannin kept the puck in along the boards.

Shortly after, the Blades knotted the contest, one of three ties throughout the afternoon.

The team traded goals in the middle period, with Ruby Hillier banging in the Red tally as she would not be denied on the doorstep.

After South Bruce took a 3-2 lead into the intermission, Hillier's linemates, Nehemiah Dyck and Noah Hiemstra each netted a goal of their own to put Red in front.

Goaltender Ryan Reath was tested often late in the contest but kept the door shut to preserve the one-goal lead and his third consecutive win.

He was helped out largely by the stalwart efforts of his D-unit, as Oliver Hershey, Warner Hurst, Brynlee Binning and Lucas McLoed kept clearing pucks to the outside and jumped in to turn those defensive stops into offensive opportunities.

Listowel's next challenge will be a tournament this weekend in Hanover.
