Red Stymied By Falcons
Listowel Atom Red was downed by the Hanover Falcons on Saturday.

While the scoreboard read 6-1 at the end of regulation, Red played a much better game than the night before and simply ran into the best goaltending performance they had seen all season.

Listowel's lone goal came from center Noah Hiemstra as he tucked in a feed from winger Ruby Hillier.

Red's other forwards, Linc Lannin, Owen Alexander, Logan Card, Nehemiah Dyck and Kingston Powell also generated many chances, but were turned away on the doorstep time and time again.

Goaltender Ryan Reath was victim to a few scrambles and bad bounces in front of net, but flashed some leather many times to stem the hard-shooting Falcons attackers.

Keeping Hanover at bay all game were the D-pairs of Lucas McLeod and Brynlee Binning, along with Warner Hurst and Oliver Hershey, who also helped generate a bunch of offensive opportunities.

Missing in action was Blake McTavish (Water Park Waterlog) who will also be out for Listowel's next contest.

That match falls on Super Listowel Sunday, a 4:10 pm showdown against Red's greatest rival - Listowel White.
