Season Firsts
Not only did we see the first snowfall of the season this past weekend, but the Listowel Cyclones Midget LL team were excited to get their first tournament under their belts as well.
The boys stood up against some stiff competition in their first game against Kincardine, surrendering to a 6-1 loss. The second game we held our own against Paris Wolfpack ending the 2nd period tie one a piece. However the 3rd period Paris came out with a vengeance and we suffered a few unfortunate injuries, leaving the game final 4-1 for Paris.Not to be counted out, the Cycs came back for their 3rd and final game ready to battle the Waterford Wildcats and even though we were down a couple of defensemen, we were able to strip them of victory with an exciting 2-1 win for the Cyclones.
