U9 Reps take game 1 vs Seaforth Stars
The Listowel Cyclones U9 Reps took game one by a score of 6-2 in the first to four points series with the Seaforth Stars, game two goes Thursday in Seaforth.

The Stars came out flying in this one as the Cyclones were back on their heels for the first few shifts ending in a goal by the visitors three minutes in to take an early 1-0 lead.  Our boys took it as the wake up call they needed and responded with Lewis Nichol and Maddox Birk taking turns setting each up for goals to take a 2-1 lead to the intermission.

The second period saw the Cycs come out flying as Ripken Harrison sniped his first of the game on a feed from Ian Magee less than 30 seconds into the period.  Harrison would add his second of the game midway through the period with assists to Hudson Williams and Kaden Neves.  The Stars weren't go to go away easily as they responded a minute later to cut the deficit to 4-2 with 15 minutes to play.

Harrison completed the hat trick early into the third with a rocket of a shot from the hash marks.  Luke Strickler added another a few minutes later on a feed from Magee to push the lead to 6-2.  The Stars would make a push late in the period but goalie Declan McCarthur came up big to close the door along with the defence corp of Gray Parkhouse, Max Zilliax, Neves, Matty Williams and Seth Cameron.

Game two goes at 530 in Seaforth where the Cyclones hope to close the series and the Stars try to push it to game three.
