Slow start costs U9 Cycs in 8-3 loss to Huskies
The U9 Tier 1 Cycs played their first full ice game on Sunday travelling to Seaforth to play the Mid Huron Huskies.  It wasn't the start we had hoped for as the spotted the home team 7 goals before Ian Magee went end to end to break the goose egg late in the 2nd period.

Listowel played much better from the midway point of the 2nd until the final buzzer but couldn't close the gap.  Oliver Gutnecht would bang in a rebound off an Alton Sholdice shot early in the final frame and minutes later Tyce Passmore would outwork the defender on the boards, come off the wall and bury a wrister top shelf to get the game to 7-3.  The Cycs would press but couldn't get anything else on the board, the Huskies would add a late one and skate to an 8-3 win.

After settling in mid way through the game, goalie Sully Meulensteen would pretty much shut the door and played a great final half picking up the hardest working player Cycs chain!

The boys are back in action this Sunday vs the always tough Drayton Defenders.  Come out to the Steve Kerr Memorial Arena for Hockey Days in Listowel this weekend to see non stop Cyclones action!!!
