U9T1 Cycs pepper Mitchell with shots but settle for a 4-4 tie
The U9T1 Cyclones travelled to Mitchell on Wednesday night and got off to a quick start when Ian Magee found the net after Oliver Gutnecht made a great cross ice pass to clear the zone.  It would be short lived however as the Meteors would strike back the next shift to tie the game at 1.

The 2nd would not start well for the Cycs as Mitchell would notch two before Sully Meulensteen would pick up a feed from Tyce Passmore in the slot and bury it to cut the lead to 1.  With Magee in the box for roughing the home team would add a power play goal and we would head to the break with the Meteors up by a score of 4-2.

The Cycs had severely outshot the home team in this one to date but had been turned away by the Mitchell goalie time after time.  The home team would head to the box at 9:22 of the 3rd and on a set offensive play that was executed perfectly, Maddox Birk would take the draw won back by Magee and bury it a mere 3 seconds into the PP.  The Cycs could clearly smell blood as Birk would set up Magee 30 seconds later for the tying goal.  Listowel spent the rest of the period in the Mitchell zone getting numerous chances but were unable to break the tie and the game would end at 4-4.

The coaches were very happy with the defence this game as they held the blueline brilliantly keeping the puck in the Mitchell end for most for most of the game.

Shoutout to Hunter Adamson who took the net for the night and also the Cycs chain for the hardest working player.

The boys are back at it vs Walkerton this Saturday at 2:10 at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex, hope to see you there!!!
