Junior Development Program well under way for 08-09 season.
Junior Development program tweaked its program this season and has shown some great success in its first couple of weeks.
The junior development program was split into to categories. Level 1 basic for all 6 year olds and some 7 year olds. Level 2 for the 8 year olds and some 7 year olds. As this programs name reflects, LMHA is working hard to develop the basic skills of the game for the kids. In the month of October we will be mainly concentrating on power skating, stopping and balance for our young players. At the beginning of November the program will begin to introduce the players to some 3 on 3 play and 4 on 4 play, with keeping in mind that the basics will still be part of the practice sessions. As all our coaches are volunteers we would like to thank you at this time for all your help and support in teaching our young stars of the future. We would like to especially thank the young mentors of our program Blake Buchanan and Cody Matheson for coming out to practices and showing the drills. All the kids have worked hard and had lots of fun so far in the program, keep up the great work!
