With the schedule quickly winding...
...down, the Coaching staff wanted to remind you that the JD program participates in the Year End Banquet which is held Thursday, April 1st beginning at 6:30. The agenda will be posted on the website prior to and will go something like this: doors open around 6:00, hot dogs/chips/beverage available for purchase $1.50/ea, kids sit together for all team presentations (parents will want to get there early to get a table as they are in limited supply (suggest not bringing younger siblings as it is a full hour of team wrap ups) until about 8 or 8:15, chairs are cleared and the dance begins with a DJ. Suggest to take this in as the youngest kids have a very good time during this event--all that sugar and free space!!
As mentioned, this will be posted but thought we'd give you an idea of what to expect.
Only 1 more practice and 1 more game to go. We really hope the kids have enjoyed the experience and follow through on our goal of playing again next year. It may seem like a small thing now, but all will be glad they continue to play the game when they become our age and are looking for a recreational sport to socialize with friends. It's not about making the 'Big Leagues', it's about becoming a good teammate. This is a life skill that all will benefit from throughout these coming years.
