Peewee Reps Win Legion Tournament
The Peewees won the Legion Tournament at home by defeating Hanover, Durham and Minto.
The Listowel Cyclones had few issues as they handily won a peewee rep tournament on home ice.
Listowel blasted an undermanned Hanover squad 12-0, shutout Durham 3-0 and captured the ‘A’ title with a 6-2 victory in the final over the Minto Mad Dogs.
Ben Rothwell opened the scoring against Minto with a high shot from the point on the power play, and Cole McKee banged home a loose puck for a 2-0 lead after the first period.

Derek Williams shaved the lead to two on a slap shot past goalie Braeden Ellis following an extended 5-on-3 power play.
McKee made a clever pass to Curtis Jackson who restored the three-goal cushion and then added one himself before the final buzzer, signaling the end of the one-day tournament on Saturday, Nov. 6.
