Cycs Take a 4-2 Points Lead In The Rirst Round
The Cyclones had a great regular season and finished first in their league by going undefeated with 13 wins and 3 ties.

They began their first round of OMHA playoffs on the road in Kincardine.  The Cycs had beaten the Kinucks four games straight in league play, but the Kinucks were determined to bring this streak to an end in game one. The Kinucks took an early lead in the game and were up by two goals heading into the third period.  The Cycs battled back and tied it up early in the third, forcing overtime.  The Kinucks ended the game just four minutes into OT.

Game two was at home the next night.  The first period ended with the teams tied at zero.  Four goals were scored in the first five minutes of the second, putting the Kinucks up 3-1.  The second period ended with the Cycs trailing by one.  The Cycs tied it up on the power play at the 9 minute mark of the third and claimed the victory after a scramble in front of the net, with just 7 seconds showing on the clock.

With Listowel winning the coin flip for home ice advantage, game three was back at home.  The Cycs jumped out to an early 2 goal lead in the first 3 minutes of the game, with the lead being cut to 1 just over a minute later.  The first period would end with the home team up by 2.  The Cycs would score 3 more goals in the second, the Kinucks would score 2.  The third period remained scoreless, giving the Cycs a 6 – 3 victory and a 2 point lead in the series.

The team will travel to Kincardine on Thursday night and can end the series with a victory.
