Cyclones Doubled Up By Ice Dogs
The Listowel U13-AE Cyclones were dealt a 4-2 loss by the BCH Ice Dogs on Wednesday.

The Cycs jumped out to the early lead as Liam Ough returned to the scoresheet with a goal set up by linemate Ryan Jurgens and defensman Jacob Hodder.

The clubs then played to a 1-1 tie after one period, and a 2-2 deadlock through two. The second tally came off the stick of Spencer Henhoeffer who was set up by his D-partner, Malcolm Long.

Goaltender Austin Frey faced over 30 shots on the night and flashed plenty of leather to keep his crew in the game all evening.

Defenseman Finn Molenhuis was key in his own end too, as he continued to step up and thwart the Ice Dogs' attempted stretch passes.

Forwards Owen Alexander, Noah Hiemstra, Nehemiah Dyck, Hudson Ireland and Spencer Avery had numerous chances to tie the game in the third period but just couldn't apply the finishing touches to their in-tight chances.

Listowel's next contest will take place at 4:30 pm on Sunday against the Kinucks in Tiverton.
