Bantams Win in a Comeback

The Bantam Reps had to come from behind in the third period against Walkerton to extend their unbeaten streak to 27 games (26-0-1)
Walkerton rolled into town on Sunday evening looking to stop the Cyclones streak, and scored early in the game to make it 1-0. The teams then traded goals in the last 2 minutes of the period, with Ben Verkley scoring for the Cycs. The second period once again saw an exchange of goals as Travis Bender scored from Luke Binning and Cory Wilson. This left the Cyclones down 3-2 heading into the final period. Whatever was said during the intermission must have awoke the Cyclones as they came out and scored 3 times in the first 6 minutes of the third period to earn the 5-3 victory. Binning, Connor Johnson and Ben Ashworth tallied for the home side, with assists to Ashworth, Wilson, Bender, John McKeown and Zac McPhee. Ryan Hak picked up the victory between the pipes.
