Another close game for the Cycs.
The Novice LL up against a competitive Hanover squad.
On Saturday morning the Novice LL came out of the gate with alot of jump and hustle to set the Hanover Barons back on their heels early. Centerman Brandon Wall put Listowel on the board with a great unassisted effort when he sent the puck up and over the glove of the Hanover netminder. Listowel's defense of Rothwell - Zyta, and Westberg-Jacklin were excellent at keeping their opponent to the outside and pressuring them in our end. Goaltender Travis Bannerman made many key saves to keep the score 1-0 into the third. The Cycs were unable to generate anymore offense and Hanover took advantage of this by tieing the game and picking up the pace to score another to go up 2-1 late in the third. With the Cycs goaltender pulled and an extra player on, they were unable to convert and tie the game. Good effort by team players, Judge, Layton, Cassidy, Ament, Clemmer, Matheson, Johnston and Hallman.
