Bantams Begin Silver Stick With A Win
Submitted By Tim Matheson on Sunday, December 27, 2009
After giving-up a 9 - 3 loss at home last week to the Walkerton Capitals, the boys had something to prove against their league rivals going in to game one of the Silver Stick tourney in Kincardine.

The fans were treated to a fast-paced and action-packed game of hockey right from the first drop of the puck.  Both teams traded several scoring chances during the first two periods, but both goaltenders stood tall to keep the game scoreless.  Finally, midway through the third, Tyler Hak gave a pass to Cory Wilson who handed it off to Matt McCracken who made no mistake in rifling a shot passed a well-screened Capitals goalie.  The Capitals battled hard to try to even the score but they could not penetrate the Listowel net.  Final score, 1 - 0 in favour of the Cyclones.
Game two for the Cyclones takes place on Monday morning vs the Ayr Flames.
