Welcome to 2011!!!
2011 is here and I hope that it will be a great year for all.
As is the case with most of you, I seem to spend a lot of time at the arena. It appears that with three months of hockey behind us, most teams have settled in and are having a good season.
As a whole, we have won many games as well as some tournaments. Many teams are traveling in the next few weeks to more tournaments and all are preparing for the upcoming playoffs.
It is my hope that all players in our organization are having a great season, not based on wins and losses however, but classified more so by how much fun they are having at both games and practices. We have in excess of 70 qualified coaches, assistant coaches, trainers and managers who are all working towards making the season a successful one for each player.
As the President of Listowel Minor Hockey, I'm proud to be involved with an exceptional group of people, from my colleques on the board to all of the coaching staff. There are a great deal of volunteer hours that have gone into 2010 to make it a successful year and many more will be required to make 2011 the same.
I'm always interested in hearing what you think is going well within our minor hockey system and perhaps more so, I'd like to hear about what you think could be improved.
On behalf of the Minor Hockey Board, I wish you the best in 2011, both at the rink and beyond.
Regards,
Randy Bauman
