With another year behind us, I thought I’d take the
opportunity to wish everyone a safe and wonderful holiday season. It has been a great year at Listowel Minor
Hockey with many things to be thankful for.
It’s hard to believe
that playoffs are only weeks away for some teams. My prediction is that we’re going to have a
great run and there will be hardware in the not so distant future.
With no NHL and Duck Dynasty being the only show worth
watching on TV, I’m sure the stands will be full with avid hockey fans in the New
Year.
You may have heard rumours regarding some new Jerseys that
are to arrive in town very shortly. With
thanks, once again, to our very supportive community, our teams will be looking
rather stellar (can I say that at my age?) in the New Year.
It has been an honour serving on the minor hockey board as
president for another year. I hate to
let out a well kept secret, but my job is rather easy with a full board of
excellent people working hard for the hockey enthusiasts in our community.
Finally, on behalf of all of the players, thank you to all
the coaches, managers and trainers that give so much time each and every week. I’m sure there will be many clipboards and
whistles under the trees for you on Christmas morning.
Yours in a fun filled, wicked sick, out of sight, hockey
season.
