Message from the LMHA President
Listowel Minor Hockey Association
President’s MessageIt was our 2nd season in the new SKMC, and I am pretty sure the excitement and pride of our new facility is still alive. Never more so then on March 7th when the Bantam LL and Pee Wee AE teams hosted an exhibition game against the Queensland Cyclones from Australia. Our visitors were appreciative of the opportunity to play in our new facility and gave our teams a fun and competitive event both teams will remember for a long time.
The mission of Listowel Minor Hockey is a “commitment to creating a hockey program for youth that is fun, where participants can develop and learn the technique and skills of the game, life skills and good sportsmanship both on and off the ice.” Community support programs such as Grass Roots, made possible thanks to the generosity of local businesses, and the Meulensteen Hockey Helper program help keep our mission real. These programs assist with registration costs and fund on-ice development programs for our Pre-school, Junior IP and Senior IP divisions.
We will continue to develop players using the early morning Goalie clinic with Vinnie and this year we are thrilled to announce our Tyke to Atom aged players will have the opportunity to cultivate their hockey skills lead by the GOJHL’s player of the year; Holdyn Lansink.
A huge Thank You to all the teams from the 2018-19 season; LMH was well represented as a competitive center founded on integrity and respect for their opponents and game officials; this is something we can all be proud of. We are truly the sum of all the passionate volunteers, players, parents and referees who commit their time to the success of our organization. And thank you to the continued support of our community; the contributions of many make Listowel Minor Hockey a great place to learn and play.
