Peewees Win To Go Up 2-1 in Series With Strathroy
The Listowel Peewee Cyclones edged out Strathroy 3-2 on Wednesday night in Listowel to take a 2-1 lead in the best of five series.  Both teams entertained the hometown fans to an exciting close checking game.

Strathroy got on the board midway through the first and pulled ahead by two with another goal at the one minute mark.  Strathroy then took a tripping penalty to put the Cyclones on the power play.  It took all of 18 seconds for the Cyclones to capitalize on the man advantage.  They got the puck deep in the offensive end and Blake Nichol fed Michael McMurren on the point. His shot was expertly tipped in the net by Ted Nichol.  Listowel continued to pressure throughout the second period but were unable to get anything past the Strathroy netminder until the 3:54  mark when Tyler Hak converted on a pass from Andrew Gooding. Daniel Dekoning made a huge save on a breakaway near the end of the period, sending the teams to their dressing rooms tied at two.  Strathroy came out strong in the third, but the Cyclones were able to turn the momentum in their favour when Ted Nichol scored the game winner on a pretty set up from brother Blake and Gooding.

Game four in this series is Saturday March 7th @ 6:05 p.m. in Strathroy.

Game five is Sunday March 8th @ 5:30 p.m. In Listowel (if necessary)
