Listowel Peewee Reps Take 2-0 Series Lead Against Kincardine
The Listowel Peewee Reps won games on Saturday and Sunday to take a 2-0 lead in their WOAA final series with Kincardine.

On Sunday in Listowel, it took overtime to decide a winner with Listowel coming out on top by a score of 4-3.  The Cyclones jumped out to a two goal lead in the first.  The first goal was scored by Caleb Warren on a nice set up from Ted and Blake Nichol.  Ted Nichol scored the second on passes from Michael McMurren and Keaton Willis.  Kincardine scored midway through the second period, setting the stage for an exciting third.  Kincardine tied the game up early in the third, and pressured for the majority of the period.  Ted Nichol scored the go ahead goal with 3:30 left in the third with helpers going to Tyler Hak and Andrew Gooding.  Kincardine did not give up and tied the game up with 40 seconds left sending it into overtime.  Ted Nichol ended the game early in the overtime with his third of the night when he converted on a set up from McMurren and Willis.  Dekoning played a strong game in the Listowel net coming up big numerous times throughout the game. 

 

On Saturday in Kincardine the final score was 1-0.  Listowel scored late in the first period when Tyler Hak completed passes from Andrew Gooding and Cole Fletcher.  Both teams played an exciting fast paced game.  Daniel Dekoning turned away all shots to earn the shut out.

 

Next action is Saturday Feb. 14th at 2:00 p.m. in Kincardine.  Game four is scheduled for Wed. Feb. 18th at 6:30 p.m. in Listowel.
