The Peewee AE Cyclones kept the score keepers busy during the teams home opening game against the Saugeen Shores Storm at the Listowel Arena on October 17. The Cyclones controlled the puck well and fought hard in the corners in their 12-1 victory. Jacob Nethercott's outstanding goaltending held the Storm at just one goal for the night.
Goal scorers were Reese Johnson, Tyler Russell (3), Cope Lucas (2), Lane Buchanan (4), Zach Robinson, and Austin Service. With assists from Riley Thompson, Lucas (2), Russell (4), Eric Sousa, Robinson, Johnson (3), Austin Service (4), Ben Bowman (2).
Strong defensive play from Jason Bulmer, Reid Wareham and Wade McPhee helped the Cyclones keep the Storm off the score sheet.
Great start to the year team.
