Series ends with a fantastic effort!!
Game five...overtime...shots on net 33 - 8 for Listowel, we just couldn't find the mesh.
It was almost an exact duplicate of game two in Listowel. The boys played hard and spent the majority of the game in the opponents end. Shooting from all corners and beating them to the puck, it just wasn't meant to be for the hometown boys.
Obviously, a disappointing finish, but the boys are to be commended on how they performed in both this series as well as the entire season to this point. They were agressive both with and without the puck.
The coaching staff is proud of all the players and the efforts they put forth in this series.
Round robin group play begins on Tuesday and we're looking forward to many more excellent games.
