Palmerston tournament
They fought hard right to the end....

The first game of the Palmerston Tournament found our Midget LL team facing off against a very strong New Hamburg team. There were two New Hamburg teams in this tourney, and our guys played against the second team. It was a hard fought game against a strong opponent. Cody Harding and Issac Berfelz each scored two awesome shots. The whole team battled well, but lost this first game to New Hamburg. The second game played would be for the "B" title and was played against Goderich. Our team has played Goderich in our regular season games and are pretty evenly matched having both beat and lost to Goderich during the season. The score stayed at 0-0 for most of the game until Logan Sheppard put an awesome goal into the net followed by one more near the end of the third period to ensure their win. Our defence kept the puck away from the net and passed it up well to our forwards while Sam Johnston kept the puck out of his net for this game to get a shutout. This meant our team was going to the finals to play against Mt. Forest.....
The third and final game was played to win the "B" title. Our offence came out strong to score 2 goals at the first of the game....these were scored by Logan Sheppard and Noah Andreissen. The defence tried very hard to keep the Mt. Forest players back.  Mt Forest came back to tie our guys. When the third period came, Jeremy Martin put one in the net, but the Mt Forest players scored another three goals. Noah Andreissen scored the fourth goal and our guys came on strong, but time unfortunately ran out and were defeated by only one goal in the end.....
It was a great tourney to watch and our parents and friends cheered hard for our teams to do well. Pat, Tony and Dave were very happy to see our team pull together and make things happen to do well at this tourney. Each player should be very proud of themselves for a tireless effort shown that day.
Pat, Tony and Dave look forward to seeing you all do well in the few remaining regular games and for our play-off season. Keep working hard and do your very best as we all know you can!...😃
