Harriston tournament
Congrats to the kids on a hard fought tournament this past Saturday. The Atom Reds played great all day and were able to capture the #1 seed going into the final, with the maximum of 20 points.
The final game pitted the cycs against a tough Hagersville team. They were able to open the scoring 20 seconds into the game on a goal from Kayden Helmka, but later found themselves down by a score of 3-1. Cameron Gibson scored on a breakaway to pull within one, but Hagersville was quick to restore the 2 goal lead. With 1.1 seconds left on the clock in the 2nd period, Hunter Donahue banked on in off the goalie to pull back within one. Chances were a plenty in the 3rd, but even with the goalie pulled, the cycs could not find the equalizer, despite lots of good chances.
Congrats to the entire team, as they played hard all weekend and made the coaching staff proud.
