Oli Gutknecht earned player of the game, netting two impressive goals, including a jaw-dropping shot from half-ice that left everyone in awe. Gutknecht’s performance was a testament to his hard work and determination.
The offense dazzled with great puck movement by Caleb Newman Dominic Kieswetter and Emmett Neves allowing Holden Macewan and Dylan Metzger to get a tuck each. As well has a gritty forecheck by Max Vasquez Schalk and Aleks Czubak.
However it was the Cyclones' defensive unit that truly shone throughout the game. The team's commitment to protecting their zone was evident, with Shay Fear, Mackinnon Coghlin, Ryker Meulensteen, and Kohen Smith stepping up to disrupt the Storm's advances. Their relentless efforts limited scoring opportunities and allowed goaltender Landon Montgomery to shine.
