The U11 Tier 2 Cyclones defeated the Bruce
Peninsula Predators, winning 10-2. The team’s offense was relentless, and their
defense was solid throughout.
From the drop of the puck, the Cyclones
came out firing. Their offense was relentless, with every line contributing to
the attack. The team was clicking on all cylinders, scoring early and often. A
flurry of goals in the first period set the tone for the Cycs!
Despite the Predators’ best efforts to mount a comeback, the
Cyclones’ defense stood tall. The back end was solid, with defenders locking
down the neutral zone and clearing the puck from the danger areas. Goaltender Landon
Montgomery’s play was also stellar, with the Cyclones’ netminder making key
saves whenever the Predators threatened.
Player of the Game went to defenseman Kohen Smith, who
played a game before this one but still made a huge impact with strong
defensive play and smart puck movement. The Cyclones' all-around effort led to
a convincing win.
