Show Strong Team Play at Wallace Fun Days
The Listowel U8
Cyclones enjoyed a fun and productive weekend at Wallace Fun Days, playing
three games filled with teamwork, effort, and development. Across all matchups,
the Cyclones played as a true team, making good passes that led to multiple
scoring chances and positive moments in every game.
Game One: Cyclones vs.
Mid-Huron Huskies
The Cyclones opened the weekend against the Mid-Huron Huskies and came out
skating hard right from the start. The team moved the puck well, making smart
passes and supporting one another in all areas of the ice. Colton Richardson
was strong in goal for game one, making several key saves and showing great
focus and determination. Up front, Odin Adams showed excellent hustle and
wasn’t afraid to battle for the puck, while Everett Anstett worked hard every
shift and consistently put himself in good positions. Eric Feurstein displayed
determination and effort, never giving up on plays, and Watson Berfelz brought
great energy and enthusiasm that helped keep the team moving forward.
Game Two: Cyclones vs.
Mount Forest Rams
In game two against the Mount Forest Rams, the Cyclones continued to build on
their team-first approach. Crisp passing and strong communication led to
multiple scoring opportunities throughout the game. Olivia Hamilton took her
turn in net and delivered a confident performance, staying alert and competing
hard to keep the puck out. Isla Kieswetter showed strong teamwork and
awareness, always looking to make the right play, while Blaire Long impressed
with her skating and willingness to contribute wherever needed. Pierce
Meulensteen added solid effort as a skater, showing versatility and a strong
work ethic throughout the game.
Game Three: Cyclones
vs. Walkerton Capitals
The final game of the weekend was against the Walkerton Capitals, and the
Cyclones finished strong. The team continued to play together, moving the puck
well and creating scoring chances through smart passing and good spacing.
Pierce Meulensteen was between the pipes for game three and showed resilience
and focus, giving the team confidence with his steady play in goal. Watson
Berfelz once again brought speed and energy, while Everett Anstett and Odin
Adams continued to show consistent effort and determination. Eric Feurstein
worked hard along the boards, and Isla Kieswetter and Blaire Long supported the
play well with their constant hard work and pressure, contributing to the
Cyclones’ strong team performance.
Overall, the Listowel
U8 Cyclones had a great weekend at Wallace Fun Days. Every player contributed,
and the team’s commitment to playing together made the weekend a positive and
memorable experience for everyone involved.
