Atom Reps Take Game 1
Submitted By Tim Matheson on Saturday, February 28, 2009
The Atom Rep team travelled to Kingsville for game 1 of the OMHA semi-final series on Saturday.

After a three hour drive to the arena, the coaching staff was a little worried that the boys may be a little groggy, however, the boys proved the coaches wrong!  The boys came out working hard right from the first face-off.  The score was tied at zeroes until 11:51 in the second when Bailey Matheson picked-up a big, juicy rebound from the Kingsville goalie and found the back of the net.  Kingsville tied it up with a power-play goal with just 20 seconds left on the clock at the end of second.  Bryce Fletcher scored the go-ahead goal, unassisted, early on in the third and the boys in red managed to hold on to the lead until the end.   Jake Nethercott stood on his head in the net and earned the win.  Everyone on the team gave 100% for the entire game.  Game two takes place in Kingsville on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
